The Recovery Intensive June 4-7, 2026

The retreat has the same format and intention as our other Enlightenment Intensives - of direct, Divine encounter - the difference being the framing language, using the words of AA’s founder Bill W, along with Carl Jung and William James, who helped form the idea of the necessity of awakening - to quench the spiritual thirst that had been substituted with anything rather than face the reality of being. In short, attempting to fill the God shaped hole in the donut with more donuts (or anything else available).

The steps of the technique used in the Hero’s Journey enlightenment intensive retreat hold the West’s archetypal pattern towards revelatory encounter - shared in the 12 steps of the recovery fellowships;
purgation - illumination - union.
It’s only a baptismal, direct encounter that is potent enough to shock real faith into the addict, a faith rooted in reciprocal participation, and growing in true, hierarchical relationship with God.
The 12 step fellowships - now in their 4th generation, are a dilution of the founders’ quest towards awakening.
Our aim is to help return to the original spirit of the founders, breathing God’s loving, redeeming spirit back into the fellowships. 
Post the intensive, we’ll have a time in the afternoon to use the new found gifts found in the dyads to initiate working with recovery specific questions and explore the potential of an inter-12 Step Fellowship based in Dyad contemplation.

All types of stay are inclusive of the cost of the retreat and all meals, & towels are provided for 3 days and 3 nights.
